so I sit here on a Saturday afternoon (only because the Gators are dark this week) and I think about LinkedIn. I’m to teach a sort of “beginners seminar” on the site Monday, so I have been surfing the web, finding out what others thought about it…

the challenge is that, with any tool, you really need to know how the end user intends to use it….

i think that my lil thing on monday will be an introduction to what is possible… to get people thinking about what they want and need (both from LI, social media in general, and their distinct web presence).

As I contemplate this structure, I think that I might turn this into a monthly seminar about various computer topics that might interest people (how to get a domain, search optimization, social media, etc…nothing really high end… ) *note… talk to Brian about this…. I might be able to pull some talent from designMINDS to lecture on specific topics.

Most of what I know I’ve learned by having to do so to teach others, so this is a good way for me to increase my knowledge base, and hopefully I can help some people in whatever limited capacity I can.

Tony (of the Tompkins Group) had a get togeather at Urban Chic last night. I got to see Rich, Rob, Patrick, Bryan and others. A fine time was had. (There were scoobie snacks!)

If you’re not coming to the LiknedIn seminar, maybe I’ll see you at the next design minds.
